Alpha Blended Maps
Here’s a sneak peak at the next update of TopoFusion:
This will all be done on the fly (a slider bar will control how much influence each map type has).
We’re setting it up to be as fast as possible, but in general the blending will be done on the fly. They will be cached in video and system memory, but not on disk. Since the value of the slider changes the images there is no reason to store them on the HD.

I’m very excited about this–the blending looks awesome.
Tomorrow we’ll be in Phoenix racing on the National Trail. We’re going to need all the luck we can get.
