Area 52 East

Louis and I spent another day out on the orange rock.

Antelope Peak Challenge

Lee and I successfully completed the Antelope Peak Challenge - to ride from Oracle to Antelope Peak, scramble to the summit, and ride back.

KF rolled into town and with no notice we were out riding.

KF is among the best technical riders I’ve ever seen. Cleaned everything on Krein save the two “unrideable” sections, that I’ve never seen anyone ride. Impressive for a first run.

Golden

I haven’t been over Golden Gate pass for over 6 months - not since before we spent the summer in Colorado. Hidden Canyon and the new entrance trails have been keeping me busy, and long rides have taken me elsewhere.

Just south of the Gila River there is a mesa of rock known as Area 52. Efforts are underway to declassify this formerly secret alien lair, and this post is just one of those.
