Good trails and exorbitant flowers in Tucson Mountain Park. It’s a good time to be alive.

Poor light for photos, but the clouds kept the temperature at the perfecto setting. I didn’t bring (or need) any water for the 3 hour ride.
My rib told me I’m still not ready to open the floodgates, so trail time was outweighed by road time. Still, I was happy for what I got, and the lack of water made it easy to resist the temptation of more (trail, rocks, time, loops, et cetera).

The start of a very long and very dark tunnel.
On my way out Todd Sadow caught me, and somehow we ended up exploring the Tucson underground. I didn’t know such things existed in Tucson. We turned around when we saw tents ahead.
Crazy news in the Iditarod Trail Invitational — race favorites Pete and Jay have scratched after days of pushing bikes in brutal conditions. It is going to be interesting to see how MC fares when he gets there.
Finally, my computer vision paper, Finding Trails was accepted into CVPR. After two years of rejects from this competitive conference, third time proved the charm. Looks like I’ll be heading to Anchorage this summer. One step closer to the PhD.

I may make a desperation run before end of March. I’m off to the wife’s homeland (Estonia) for most of April.
