Lynx rufus (aka Bobcat)
Hello! Who’s that?
Photos taken today in the Catalina Foothills. The cat was not scared of me, equally curious as I was. It crossed the trail just in front of me before jumping behind the rock wall to observe a goofy mountain biker in his happy habitat.
Later I heard coyotes howling and barking at each other, with me in the middle! They were ridge running on both sides of the wash I was riding in and making quite the chorus. I watched them chase each other, then merge into one pack.
It was a fine day for the suburban loop. 78 degrees and thin overcast. Primo.

Too cool! Showed it to my son (9) and he was like… yeah dad… what ever…. then he saw the bob cat and the wow factor kicked in!
